Calbie ("we", "our", "the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address to create your account.

Profile and health data you provide: Gender, birth date, height, weight, target weight, activity level, dietary preferences, and goals you enter during onboarding or in Settings.

Apple Health (optional): If you connect Apple Health, we read your weight and exercise (active calorie) data to personalize your calorie targets.

Food and weight logs: Photos of meals you scan, calorie and macro estimates, and weight entries you log.

Usage data: Information about how you use the app, such as screens you view, actions you take (for example scanning a food or completing onboarding), your device type, and error reports. This is linked to your account so we can diagnose problems and improve the product.

How We Use Your Information

• To calculate your personalized calorie and macro targets
• To identify food from photos using AI (Google Gemini) and log calories/macros
• To track your weight progress over time
• To send you reminders and notifications you've opted into (weigh-in reminders, meal reminders)
• To manage your subscription (via RevenueCat)
• To improve and maintain the app

How We Store Your Information

Your data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud) — including your account details, food logs, and weight logs. Food photos are sent to our servers only long enough for AI to identify the food; the photo itself is not stored, only the resulting calorie and macro estimate is saved.
